POSITION SUMMARY

A Job Coach at CE&DS helps program participants succeed at work, at home, and in their communities. In this role, you will provide 1-on-1 support to people with disabilities by helping with a variety of vocational and personal goals through skill modeling and structured activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify job duties and create a step-by-step breakdown of job tasks/duties – aligning the person's learning style with the training method.
- Provide support in completing tasks, including modeling appropriate behaviors as needed.
- Identify areas for improvement and address them accordingly.
- Plan meaningful activities with clients to build skills that contribute to identified goals.
- Maintain and submit timely coaching reports.
- Communicate problems and create action plans to resolve any issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (example: HSED, GED)
- Valid driver’s license, access to reliable automobile, proof of insurance, and good driving record
- Basic computer skills and cell phone
- Ability to deal with challenging behavior while teaching job tasks, and communicate any support needed.
- Patience, kindness, and flexibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One year of professional or personal experience with people who have disabilities.
