Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) for AM shift. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering independence and promoting dignity for those in their care. AM Shift is 6am to 10am, $18.50/hr with BONUS AM shift differential. Livescan clearance required. Paid orientation and training. Must be able to read and write in English.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement and monitor care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences.
- Observe and document changes in the individual's behavior or condition, reporting any concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health or social services is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
