Position Overview:

It Takes a Village Family of Schools, in partnership with the Illinois Youth Investment Program (IYIP), is proud to offer the IYIP Clerk Apprenticeship Program. This paid apprenticeship provides participants with hands-on experience in financial administration, data management, and organizational operations within an educational environment.

Responsibilities:​​​

• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic as a contributing team member

• Complete tasks assigned by the Chief Financial Officer with accuracy and attention to detail

• Maintain confidentiality of financial and student information at all times

• Demonstrate growth in workplace readiness skills, including communication, time management, and accountability

• Fulfill all program requirements, including Illinois WorkNet and Casey Life skills

Job Duties:

• Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial and administrative records
• Support the organization and filing of invoices, receipts, and financial documentation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital and physical records
• Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, and financial tracking documents
• Provide administrative support, including copying, printing, and preparing materials
• Support internal communication across departments as needed
• Assist with distributing and collecting forms or documentation
• Perform general office support tasks as assigned

    Employment Details:

• Location: ITAV Leadership Academy - Bronzeville
• Salary: $17.05 per hour
• Job Type: Part-Time

Please note: This is a temporary position funded by Illinois Youth Investment Program (IYIP) through August 31, 2026, with the possibility of an extension based on grant funding.

Required Education and Experience:

• Must be 18–24 years old

• High school diploma or GED required

• Must complete physical exam, TB test, and fingerprint background check
