- We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment
- This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections
- Repair or replace defective components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety
- Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations
- Test drive vehicles and equipment to ensure proper performance after repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (heavy-duty preferred)
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and tools
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE Certification (Diesel or Heavy Equipment)
- Experience with fleet maintenance or construction equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience
