Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine oral health status and treatment needs.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including dental extractions, fillings, crowns, and preventive care.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to diagnose conditions accurately and develop treatment plans.
- Apply aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with practice protocols.
- Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient practice operations.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license and eligibility for board certification.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices.
- Experience or training in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft/Patterson or similar dental software for patient management and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
