Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote childhood development and early learning skills
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support children with their personal care routines, including diapering, feeding, and toileting as needed
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and social interactions to foster growth and curiosity
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws for child safety incidents
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure quick response to emergencies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively through positive guidance techniques
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the childcare environment
