Title: Supervisor of Adult Outpatient Services at Broadway 

Reports to: Director of Adut Outpatient Services

C4 is the leader in building hope and breaking down barriers – from the personal to the systemic - for Chicago’s systematically disadvantaged communities through the delivery of effective, empirically supported, and trauma-informed mental health services. C4 seeks to equip 7,000 individuals annually to help them move from trauma to living, to working and thriving within their community.

Purpose: 

The Supervisor of Adult Outpatient Services at Broadway provides the clinical and administrative oversight of clinicians providing billable individual therapy, art therapy and other group services to registered C4 clients. He/she will also function as a practicing clinician. In addition to overseeing individual therapy cases, this person will be responsible for helping C4 grow and expand Art Therapy services and other group services of a clinical, expressive and skill-building nature. 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  1. Must have a master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling
  2. LCPC or LCSW required. Those whose licensure is in process will be considered
  3. 3-year minimum clinical experience working with adult clients with persistent mental illness
  4. Basic understanding of the therapeutic use of art in the process of healing and recovery

  1. Ability to be respectful of the diverse cultures of the people served and to provide culturally appropriate, competent, and individualized treatment according to each client's age, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, and culture.
  2. Ability to provide, create and supervise art therapy sessions.
  3. Ability to assess the need for other group therapy services and initiate their implementation.
  4. Clinical competencies, including motivational interviewing techniques, as aligned with training mandated by agency
  5. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and functional use of them
  6. Understanding of personal and professional boundaries  
  7. Ability to access art supplies needed and identify appropriate vendors
  8. Organizational skills
  9. Time and stress management skills
  10. Communication skills to include interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
  11. Conflict resolution and diplomacy skills
  12. Computer literacy including clinical records
  13. Ability to develop solutions to problems.
  14. Ability to speak and write clearly and effectively.
  15. Ability to comprehend complex ideas and complex diagnostic histories of consumers

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Provides clinical supervision of staff providing individual therapy, art therapy and other group therapy services 
  2. Leads staff meetings and treatment planning meetings when necessary
  3. Attends occasional ACT and CST staff meetings to help identify clients who would benefit for Art and Group Therapy
  1. Maintains a caseload and provides direct services approximately 25% of the time worked
  2. May attend additional staff meetings at other C4 sites to discuss group services at Broadway
  3. Trains and supervises employees to procedures and clinical functions
  4. Assists in scheduling employees to provide adequate coverage for groups
  5. Ensures documentation quality, completion, and compliance at all times, as well as monitors timelines and agency policies and procedures according to agency’s guidelines
  6. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and accreditation requirements related to service delivery policies, practices, and reporting standards
  7. Develops, coaches, guides, and determines individual performance expectations for direct reports.
  8. Compiles reports and gathers data as requested
  9. Adheres to confidentiality practices and procedures according to agency policies.
  10. Maintains compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  11. Maintains license and/or certification for position
  12. Responsible for prioritizing own and others’ work to ensure completion
  13. Checks the quality and timeliness of own and others’ work
  14. Adheres to ethical practices 
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
