Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) Team Lead
Cape Girardeau, MO | Pay: $ $23.40 per hour
Full-Time, Non-Exempt: Day Shift (M-F, 8:00a-4:30p) - Must be flexible on schedule

The Lou Masterman Center (LMC) Program
LMC is a seven bed Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS) that provides a high level of direct service and supports for individuals living with chronic mental health diagnoses (i.e., anxiety, bi-polar, depression, personality disorders, etc.) that often involve severe behavioral and emotional issues resulting in guardianship.
Job Summary: Responsible for the oversight of the clients' safety and mental well-being.
Essential Functions:
- Provide supportdirection to assigned Behavioral Health Technicians.
- Act as a liaison between Behavioral Health Technicians, Adult Residential Administrator,Clinical Manager.
- Provide care to clients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort,a therapeutic environment.
- Promoteeducate clients regarding activities of daily living including household managementself-care management.
- Teach functional living skills such as anger management techniques, impulse control, social/communication skills, relaxation skills, emotional regulation skills, based on the client's individual treatment plan.
- Completechart client observations in accordance with agency policyprocedure.
- Conduct ongoing checks; including personal belongings, room checks,grounds checks based on agency policyprocedure.
- Ensure protective oversight of clients, monitor the condition of clients,follow agency policyprocedure regarding medical emergencies or elopement.
- Intervene in behavioral health crisis situations when needed.
- Document according to clinical policiesprocedures, DMH, CARF,any other federal or state program per agency standards.
- Maintain certification in Pro-ActCPR/First Aid.
- Responsible for dailymonthly checks to maintain residential facility.
- Take leadwork with BHT's on transporting clients in agency and/or personal vehicle as deemed necessaryappropriate to meet program requirements.
- Oversee fire, safety, health, and sanitation procedures (HealthSafety Officer).
- Oversee the general operation and daily routine of facility including routine purchasing and operational budget control in accordance with all licensing regulations and generally accepted standards of practice.
- Completing all ordering of groceries and supplies.
- Responsible for financial functions of the homes, which includes collecting room and boardpetty cash.
- Responsible for being on call after hours for coverage for facility related emergencies.
- Assist with discharge/transition planning as residents leave the program.
- Collect, review,sign off on observation logs daily.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSE required.
- Valid driver's license for current state of residence (Class E for Missouri or equivalent), with current auto insurance and compliance with CCC's Motor Vehicle Record standards.
