What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Clerk position at Community Counseling Center (CCC)?
Admission Clerk
Location: Cape Girardeau, MO
Schedule: Full-Time, Non-Exempt | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Pay: $ /hour dependent upon relevant experiences.
Job Summary: The Admission Clerk is responsible for completing the new client admission process and annual updates on current clients in the EMR.
What You'll Do
- Meet with all new Cape clients to complete admission process in EMR.
- Meet with current clients to complete annual update process in EMR.
- Enter insurance information and scan insurance cards and photo ID's.
- Schedule doctor and therapy appointments for new Cape clients after intake is completed.
- Schedule therapy appointments for all outpatient therapy referrals.
- Complete release of information for all noted providers and ensure information is received and scanned into system.
- Assist front desk staff.
- Assist as needed with support staff duties such as but not limited to greet clients and visitors, screen clients and document communication for clinical staff, enter client demographic data into EMR when there are changes, schedule and cancel appointments collect payments and document in system, answer incoming calls and direct to the correct department/staff.
- Work as a team member with other support staff to ensure completion of all tasks.
- Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or HSE required.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work with difficult clients.
- 1 year prior office experience required.
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and continuous auto insurance.
