The role of the Climate manager is an administrative role. The Climate Manager is to be responsible for providing guidance to classroom staff in regards to managing student's behavior within classroom/school environment. The Climate Manager will be able to supply on-going and on site assistance to classroom staff.

The role of the Climate manager is an administrative role. The Climate Manager is to be responsible for providing guidance to classroom staff in regards to managing student's behavior within classroom/school environment. The Climate Manager will be able to supply on-going and on site assistance to classroom staff.
Essential & Core Functions
- Supervise, supports/and or assist clients in the implementation of designed plans (IEP, FBA, etc.) to improve social, emotional, physical and self-help skills. Document progress in accordance with Community Council procedure.
- Meet at least once per week for summarizations of daily behavior of students.
- Provide on-site and pragmatic guidance to classroom staff regarding interventions with students.
- Assist staff in crisis situations when needed.
- Provide structured support to classrooms that are in need.
- Work collaboratively with program coordinator, director and classroom staff.
- Model effective classroom management practices for school staff (i.e. holding groups, effective usage of time-outs, verbal praise etc.).
