What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Worker position at Community Connections, Inc.?
CCI offers many services to adults with developmental disabilities, including an Adult Day program and Job coaching. We are seeking a staff to work 2 days a week in our adult day program, as well as Mon-Fri hours in our job coaching program,
During your day program hours, you will be working alongside other staff as you teach daily living skills in a fun and positive way. The clients in our program love attending their day program and enjoy the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun, active, and meaningful activities.
Our group goes into the community 2-3 times a week participating in diverse activities. Some of our client's favorite activities are pottery, bowling, movies, eating out, museums, and the greenbelt. We also provide an array of activities in our center. We provide activities such as cooking groups, art projects, board games, pool, exercising and social skills groups. This is an active job where you will be an integral part of their therapy.
During your job coaching hours, you will be 1 on 1 with a client, teaching them work skills. Our goal for each client, is to be as independent as possible within their daily lives, including work. When your client no longer needs a job coach, we will pair you up with another client.
The ideal candidate is out going, creative, consistent, and patient. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in working with individuals with disabilities who can assist with working through participant needs from self-help skills to behavior management.

Availability required:
- Monday 10am-6pm (4-6 hours)
- Tuesday 9am-3pm solid (possible 3pm-5pm as needed)
- Wednesday 10am-6pm (4-6 hours)
- Thursday 9am-3pm solid (possible 3pm-5pm as needed)
- Friday 10am-6pm (4-6 hours)
- $16-16.50/hr DOE

- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle
- Current vehicle insurance
- First Aid and CPR - we can certify you
- Must be willing to help with personal care; toileting, changing, lifting etc.
