Duties
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance to promote comfort and dignity.
- Support clinical staff by monitoring vital signs, recording patient information accurately, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during movement or procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by assisting with infection control practices and equipment sanitation.
- Engage with patients empathetically to foster a positive experience and address their needs effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as medical-surgical units, emergency departments, PICUs (Pediatric Intensive Care Units), and post-acute care facilities.
- Participate in ongoing training and educational programs to stay current with hospital policies and best practices in emergency medicine, geriatrics, outpatient clinics, and sub-acute care environments.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in high-acuity settings such as Level II trauma centers or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospital medicine, emergency medicine procedures, and inpatient care protocols.
- Experience working in specialized areas like PICU or operating rooms (OR) enhances your candidacy.
- Familiarity with geriatrics, medical-surgical units, outpatient clinics, or post-acute/sub-acute care environments is preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent licensure required; ongoing education in healthcare practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
