Personal Banker/ Customer Service Representative
Expected Hours: 40 per week

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour, full-time
Job description:
The Personal Banker / Customer Service Representative plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and assisting clients with their banking needs. This position is responsible for processing financial transactions, managing savings and CD accounts, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional, courteous, and efficient customer service in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Assist customers with opening and servicing savings and CD accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to bank policies.
- Process financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, with precision.
- Review and manage real estate and auto insurance documentation related to loan servicing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in cash transactions and customer accounts.
- Educate customers about banking products, services, and policies to enhance their financial experience.
- Support daily branch operations, including cash balancing, monthly certifications, and opening/closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and update reports as needed.
- Adhere to security and compliance procedures to safeguard customer and bank assets.
- Collaborate with branch team members to meet service and operational goals.
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in banking, customer service, or teller roles (required).
- Banking: 2 years (Preferred)
- Cash handling: 2 years (Required)
- Customer service: 2 years (Required)
- Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and handle customer concerns with professionalism.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Adaptability to evolving banking technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Job Functions and Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, stooping, typing.
- Physical effort/lifting primarily sedentary work with the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
