GBCC Adjunct Faculty - Nursing, Maternal Newborn Specialty

CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.

Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required.

Semester: Spring Semester 2027

Adjunct Faculty: Nursing--Maternal-Newborn Specialty

The nursing clinical adjunct faculty instructor shall be responsible for the instruction and supervision of no more than 8 students during clinical learning activities at a cooperating agency in the maternal-newborn setting. This position is 2 days a week (15 hours) for 8 weeks (typically Tuesdays/Wednesdays 7a-3p). Days/times may be negotiable depending on instructor/site availability. The timeframe is January 19-March 10, 2027 or March 23– May 5, 2027.

Course: NURS112G: Nursing II

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.

The compensation rate is $850-$1000 per contact hour [or $47.95 - $59.45 [per clinical rate per hour if applicable]. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

The minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:

Education: Candidates must meet one of the following options:

1. Master's degree in Nursing

2. BS in Nursing, with a Master's degree in public health, health care administration, health promotion, or another health-related field.

3. BS in Nursing, currently matriculated in an MSN or health care related graduate program.

4. BS in Nursing

5. AS in Nursing and work at Portsmouth Regional Hospital or Anna Jaques Hospital.

Experience: At least two years of recent, relevant nursing experience in maternal-newborn nursing.

Licensure: Current unencumbered New Hampshire registered nurse license or a current and unencumbered multi-state registered nurse license issued by a compact state. Applicants who are not currently licensed in New Hampshire may be licensed in another state but must be eligible for New Hampshire registered nurse licensure and obtain New Hampshire licensure within the required timeframe after hire.
