- Provide direction for dental health faculty, students, and patients in a medical emergency
- Diagnose dental clinic patients oral conditions and make referrals, as needed
- Administer local anesthesia when necessary, in the clinical setting
- Prescribe and review clinic patient radiographs as needed
- When necessary, collaborate with clinical faculty to determine if dental hygiene treatment can proceed safely
- Participate in accreditation activities
- Minimum of a DDS or DMD in Rhode Island
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice experience
- Current certification in CPR at the Healthcare Provider level
- Documentation of current malpractice insurance
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues
- Previous teaching experience at a CODA-accredited institution
