Class Description

The purpose of this position is to provide departmental leadership and direction consistent with the strategic vision of the assigned division and the mission of the College.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale .

Minimum Requirements

Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Educational Leadership, or related field required. T hree (3) years of supervisory experience is required. Six (6) years of experience preferably at a community college, in two (2) or more of the following areas: Title IX, crisis management, student conduct, behavioral intervention, or conflict resolution/mediation. Preference is given to candidates with a Title IX certification.

Class Specific Essential Duties

  • Implements and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of the College’s student conduct process.
  • Develop and manage operating budget for assigned unit college-wide, as required.
  • Hire, supervise, advise and evaluate assigned staff.
  • Establish goals and objectives for operations consistent with CCBC’s mission.

Position Specific Essential Duties

  • Serve as the chief conduct officer in investigating and adjudicating student violations of the CCBC Code of Conduct and appeals.
  • Leverage independent decisions and risk management protocols to measure impact on students’ educational plans.
  • Oversee the review, update and implementation of the Code of Conduct.
  • Coordinate efforts with Student Conduct Administrators, Hearing Boards and Public Safety to adjudicate cases involving alleged violations of the Code of Conduct.
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and conduct educational programs and initiatives designed to educate and support faculty, staff, and students regarding their rights and, where applicable, obligations under Title IX, including reporting options/responsibilities, support services, college policy, and applicable disciplinary code, grievance procedures, confidential resources, etc.
  • Oversee, coordinate and ensure the investigation of reports and complaints of sexual misconduct are adequate, reliable, timely, confidential, and impartial.
  • Identify systemic problems relating to complaints and determines whether campus-wide resources should be adopted in response, including review and revision of the College's sexual misconduct policies and increased education and prevention efforts to targeted populations.
  • Collaborate with leadership and campus constituencies to disseminate information, redesign processes, and support the College’s investigative processes; collaborate and coordinate with compliance partners within the department and across the institution to support the College's overlapping compliance needs and responsibilities.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Title IX by collecting and analyzing data, writing comprehensive reports and maintaining records of investigations.
  • Lead the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT). Supervise the oversight of the on-going “students of concern”.
  • Present student conduct information to senior staff, faculty, and staff as requested or required.
  • Master subject matter related to the Student Code of Conduct and institutional case history.
  • Responsible for student incident reporting system (Maxient) and manage all electronic student conduct records.

Individual or Family Coverage. Employee pays a rate in multiples of $10,000 to a maximum of $300,000.

Long-Term Disability

Plan pays 60% of gross monthly salary after 90 consecutive days of absence. Employee pays 100% of premium.

Supplemental (Retirement Annuities) 403(b) and 457(b)

  • Tax-sheltered annuities – 403(b). Payroll salary reduction authorization is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/Human Resources Forms. The 403(b) supplemental retirement plan is available to all CCBC employees (Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees).
  • Roth 403(b) is a savings feature that is available when you open a 403(b) account. The Roth 403(b) savings feature allows employees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors: TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.

Tuition Assistance
