The Education Assistant will provide support to the Dean, Chair, and Faculty of the department of Education, Languages, and Justice in the management of Education programming. They will assist with a variety of tasks including student support, event planning, registration and records keeping, creation of process documentation, and other administrative tasks as assigned. Additionally, they may also assist with events and planning for Aspiring Educator Pathway students and staff. This role offers hands-on experience with program management in an academic setting.

Job Duties
Program Management
- Maintain and update student and instructor records
- Support students, instructors, and partners with programmatic timelines
- Develop tracking systems for student course completion in collaboration with the Education Faculty
- Support Education Chair and staff with updating documentation for Education programming, including FAQs, process documentation, guidebooks
- Create and distribute student-facing materials to support Education student success
- Support with the planning and organization of events for the Aspiring Educator Pathway cohort
- Ensure proper setup of events and classroom spaces for programming
- Collaborate with departments across CCA for event planning
- Monitor and organize communication in the Aspiring Educator email inbox
- Send reminder emails to students and instructors for upcoming classes, events, or other opportunities
- Assist with data entry and simple reporting tasks using collegewide tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel
- Review degree checks for students to support with individual course mapping
- Good written and verbal English language skills
- Experience with Microsoft suite, including Word and Excel
- Interest in the field of education and teaching
- Must have completed FAFSA on file
- Must be enrolled in a minimum six (6) credit hours
- Must NOT have yet obtained 1st Bachelor's Degree
- Must be seeking an eligible program of study
