WORK HOURS: Part-time 30 hours per week position, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 2:00pm and Monday evening 5pm-8pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours required for program events and recruitment fairs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Volunteer Engagement Supervisor is a part-time position. This position oversees all aspects of volunteer management, including but not limited to, recruitment, placement and training of all volunteers and basic operational support related to client and volunteer needs. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Commitment to and support of the Community Clothes Closet mission.
2. Minimum of two years of relevant experience; bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
3. Demonstrated leadership with the ability to manage groups, projects, and events.
4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including volunteers, clients, staff, and community partners.
5. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines with accuracy.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
7. Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency.
8. Experience with social media strategy, content creation, and digital engagement.
9. Demonstrated event planning and project management experience, including recruitment initiatives, trainings, and appreciation events.
10. Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively and provide clear direction.
11. Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends for events and community engagement. 12. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
13. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
14. Bilingual skills a plus.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee all aspects of the volunteer management process, including recruitment, applications, background checks, onboarding, orientation, training, scheduling, and ongoing engagement.
2. Serve as the primary point of communication for the volunteer program, ensuring timely, clear, and professional verbal and written communication.
3. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise volunteers to ensure a positive and productive experience.
4. Plan and execute volunteer-focused events, including recruitment drives, trainings, appreciation events, and community outreach initiatives.
5. Develop and manage social media content to promote volunteer opportunities, highlight impact, and increase community engagement.
6. Coordinate volunteer needs for clothing drives, special programs, and promotional campaigns.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, clients, staff, and community partners.
8. Support clients and volunteers during open shopping hours, including assisting with New Start and resolving client concerns.
9. Partner with the Operations Director to maintain efficient shopping floor operations by coordinating volunteer coverage and supporting client conflict resolution as needed.
10. Create and distribute weekly communication updates and a quarterly volunteer newsletter.
11. Coordinate volunteer meetings and recognition efforts.
12. Attend staff meetings and contribute to team collaboration.
13. Operate equipment (e.g., pallet jack) as needed.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
