Job Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for our West Fork SBHC location in West Fork, AR. RMA certification if required. This is a full-time M-F position with no nights or weekends required. Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30p. Timeliness and consistency are essential to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
- Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
- Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
- Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
- Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
- Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Registered Medical Assistant required.
- Bilingual speaking English & Spanish required
Previous experience in a Family Practice Clinic preferred
