Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time APRN or Physician Assistant for a School Based Health Center at West Fork Elementary School. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care, and a passion for community health.
Responsibilities
- Practices within the scope of competency as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Arkansas.
- Conducts thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients.
- Diagnoses and treats a wide range of medical conditions, including chronic diseases and acute illnesses.
- Utilizes established evidence-based clinical protocols.
- Utilizes all Clinic resources to improve patient outcomes, including behavioral health consultants, Diabetic Educators, audiologists, etc.
- Keeps abreast of current trends in health care including attending regular and required continuing education programs.
- Maintains compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Ensures clinical notes are entered in the patient's electronic medical record in an accurate and timely manner, according to industry standards and Community Clinic policy.
Adheres to and commits to the mission of Community Clinic. Reinforces the mission with staff and promotes the mission to the community.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing or medical school program.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas.
- Hold a current appropriate DEA number.
- Experience in an FQHC or other ambulatory care setting strongly preferred.
- Spanish language ability preferred.
Family Practice experience preferred.
