What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Clinic Nurse position at Community Choice Pediatrics?

As a pediatric clinic nurse, you would be responsible for assisting the provider in observing and treating growing children, as well as advising their parents and guardians on a course of action per the provider’s instruction. A pediatric clinic nurse’s duties include, but are not limited to:
- Obtaining and recording vital signs, symptoms, and medical and family history
- Reporting critical findings to the provider in a timely manner
- Perform and document procedures such as vaccination administration, medication administration, nasal suction, straight catheterization, cerumen removal, etc.
- Triage patients appropriately over the phone
- Provide patient education to promote habits that will prevent diseases and maintain good health
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses
- Report lab results to patients and families once reviewed by the provider
