You’ll collaborate closely with leaders across the organization and help ensure we remain resilient, compliant, and prepared for what’s ahead.If you enjoy building structure, strengthening controls, and partnering across departments to solve complex problems, this role offers meaningful impact and growth.Position SummaryThe Enterprise Risk Specialist supports the credit union’s enterprise-wide risk management program by identifying, monitoring, and mitigating risks across all business units. This role has primary responsibility for Vendor Management, Contract Management, and the Business Continuity Plan (BCP).Working closely with the Risk Manager, internal stakeholders, and external partners, this position helps maintain strong operational controls, supports regulatory compliance efforts, and drives continuous improvement. This role is an individual contributor that partners regularly with leaders, team members, and vendors across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesVendor ManagementOversee the full vendor lifecycle, including due diligence, onboarding, risk assessments, performance monitoring, and ongoing reviewsMaintain a centralized vendor management system ensuring accurate, current, and compliant documentationServe as Chair of the Vendor Oversight Committee, leading monthly meetings and presenting vendor risk assessmentsEvaluate vendor risk levels and ensure appropriate controls, monitoring, and reporting are in placePartner with business units to ensure vendors meet contractual and service-level expectationsContract ManagementManage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminationsMaintain a centralized contract repository and ensure timely stakeholder reviewsTrack expiration dates, renewal timelines, and key deliverables to support proactive planningCommunicate upcoming renewals to stakeholders to support negotiation and decision-makingCollaborate with internal partners and legal counsel to identify and mitigate contract-related risksReview contracts not requiring legal opinion for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational standardsServe as the primary point of contact for contract inquiries and document retrievalBusiness Continuity Planning (BCP)Conduct risk and business impact assessments to identify critical functions and recovery prioritiesFacilitate annual BCP exercises with business units to ensure preparedness and regulatory complianceTrack, document, and report BCP testing results and improvement initiatives to senior leadershipCoordinate response efforts during business interruptions and support recovery activitiesAssist with preparing the annual Business Continuity report for the Board of DirectorsMaintain and update the Business Continuity Plan annuallyAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport audits, regulatory exams, and internal compliance reviewsParticipate in cross-functional projects as a risk and compliance subject matter expertAssist leadership with mediation and resolution of disputes and complaintsEnsure compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations, including BSA/AML and OFACMaintain strict confidentiality of all credit union informationQualifications & ExperienceRequired Experience3–5 years of related experience within a financial institution or regulated environmentSkills & AbilitiesExperience with vendor management, contract processes, and business continuity planningStrong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management frameworksExcellent organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across departmentsStrong attention to detail with the ability to draft, review, and revise documents and agreementsAbility to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organizationWhat You’ll BringSound judgment and problem-solving skillsComfort navigating complex policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to remain organized, focused, and effective in a fast-paced environmentWhy You’ll Love Working HereMeaningful work that protects members and strengthens the organizationCollaborative, values-driven cultureOpportunity to influence enterprise-wide risk practicesCompetitive compensation and benefitsCommitment to professional growth and development
