Responsibilities:
-Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls
- Collect and update patient information - If bilingual receptionist will also serve as translators for patients
- Assist with medical administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks and procedures
- Proficient in using office software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
-Supervise and train volunteers who work at the front desk or translate - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
-Confidentiality - able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards -Understanding of patient service principles and practices
