Senior Pastor

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Senior Pastor to lead our faith community with energy, dedication, and a clear vision. We are a Church of God Ministries, Anderson, Indiana affiliated Church located at the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. We are a smaller congregation, approximately 25 members, however we are a well established congregation of more than 20 years. The ideal candidate will serve as the spiritual leader, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to congregation members while fostering a vibrant environment of worship, learning, and service. This is more of a "part-time" role with only one Sunday Service at this time. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence lives positively, promote spiritual growth, and strengthen community bonds through dynamic leadership and heartfelt communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compelling sermons and sermons series that resonate with true biblical accuracy to inspire faith development and personal growth.
• Provide pastoral care and support during times of need, ensuring comfort and guidance.
• Lead worship services and serve as guiding influence to the Church to foster spiritual development.
• Offer Christian counseling to individuals and families, addressing personal challenges with compassion and biblical wisdom.
• Manage conflict resolution within the congregation with tact and sensitivity while maintaining a positive church environment.
• Collaborate with the church board to plan programs, and strategic initiatives that align with the church’s vision.

Skills

• Strong public speaking and presentation skills that engage biblically.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—that foster clarity, transparency, and connection.
• Proven leadership abilities to guide decision-making processes, and inspire congregational participation.
• Expertise in Christian counseling techniques combined with compassionate listening skills for mentoring individuals through life challenges.

Requirements

Must be a credentialed Minister of either the Church of God Ministries Anderson, Indiana or of a similiar / closely related Doctrine

If needed, be willing to become credentialed by the Church of God Ministries

Have at least 5 years of Pastoral experience

Pay: $300.00 per week
