What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dietitian position at Community Care Physicians?
Our Community Care Weight Management & Metabolic Care office is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our growing team!
Summary:
Provide evidence-based nutritional counseling to patients as part of the Community Care Weight Management & Metabolic Care clinic. This role works collaboratively with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Behavioral Health providers to deliver a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to weight loss and metabolic health.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, prioritize, and organize information for patient care activities
- Perform nutrition assessments and individualized counseling for patients
- Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) in alignment with patient-specific weight management and metabolic goals
- Collaborate closely with Weight Management APPs and Behavioral Health providers to support coordinated, patient-centered care
- Select or develop patient education handouts appropriate for outpatient registered dietitian services
- Provide nutritional counseling, including assessment of nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current health plans to develop and implement dietary care plans
- Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, diet modifications, and food selection and preparation
- Counsel individuals and groups on the fundamentals of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring within a comprehensive weight management program
The candidate must be willing to facilitate group nutrition classes during the day.

Compensation: $65,500 to $85,000 annually.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, preferably in a primary care environment or a related area.
- Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and state licensure.
