What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Assistant position at Community Care Physicians?
Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving, logging and collecting specimens; prepare specimens for technical testing.
- Assist with identification and labeling of specimens; store and distribute specimens
- File reports and laboratory results.
- Support staff in all CCP sites on blood drawing requirements and use computer expertise to assist co-workers.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by cleaning areas daily, washing counters, emptying trash containers, cleaning up spills, preparing bio hazardous materials for departure, and all other duties necessary to sustain an appropriate work area.

Compensation: $16.000 - $20.00 per hour

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education desirable.
- Minimum two years' experience in a laboratory, preferably in medical practice setting. Experience in a medical office may be substituted for laboratory experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques to perform routine laboratory tests.
- Knowledge of appropriate medical terminology to communicate with laboratory staff.
- Strong computer skills.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
