Community Care Partners is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an adult participant in Bloomfield, NJ for 3 days/week/15 hours total.
As a DSP, you will provide hands-on assistance and community-based support while promoting independence, community engagement, and quality of life. Services are delivered in accordance with the participant's individualized service plan.

One-on-one DSP services are provided in the community. This position focuses on supporting the participant during community-based activities while promoting independence, safety, and engagement.

Essential Duties / Case Specifics:
- Accompany the participant during community outings and activities.
- Provide transportation to and from community-based activities and appointments.
- Utilize positive behavior support techniques and respond appropriately to behavioral needs.
- Encourage independence and active participation in community activities.
- Foster community inclusion, social engagement, and meaningful experiences.
- Applicants with prior experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs are preferred.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Accompanying the participant on community outings and activities.
- Providing transportation and community-based support.
- Providing supervision and support based on the participant's individualized needs.
- Encouraging independence and participation in community activities.
- Promoting dignity, respect, inclusion, and positive engagement.
- Maintaining a positive, respectful, and supportive environment expected of a professional DSP.
- Documenting services and communicating important updates as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of reaching, bending, lifting, and performing light physical tasks as needed.
Experience, License, and Certification Requirements:
- Basic English communication skills are preferred.
- Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs is preferred.
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License required.
- Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance required.
- Must clear all required State/Federal criminal background checks, the Central Registry, and the CARI database.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Applicants may apply without certification but must obtain it before starting services.
