AGENCY RELATIONS COORDINATOR
EXPOSURE CATEGORY III
BASIC PURPOSE & SCOPE:
Under the direction of the Director of Organizational Advancement, is responsible for, but not
limited to, oversight and implementation of public relations, staff information, and
administrative services functions. Will prepare and/or advise on internal and external
newsletters, press releases, brochures and pamphlets, and advertising related to agency
operations and services. Initiates action necessary to maintain office environment, equipment
function, and administrative communications to enhance internal operations/relations.
Promotes positive agency relations among staff and the public.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes goals and planning calendar for routine and special agency relations
activities.
2. Prepares copy and layout of newsletter(s) and advertising.
3. Coordinates printing and mailing functions of agency relations materials with appropriate
vendors and staff.
4. Prepares public information materials, reviewing and revising as needed on an annual
basis.
5. Assists in the coordination of fund-raising and development activities among employees,
volunteers, and the public.
6. Research grant opportunities assigned to this position to assess timelines, eligibility
requirements, and appropriateness for the organization, and communicates findings to
appropriate staff for follow up consideration.
7. Schedules and coordinates social media posts and related digital communications for both
organizations in accordance with agency marketing and public relations goals.
8. Participates as a public speaker on an occasional basis to promote agency services.
9. Serves as a liaison to the press; preparing news releases and/or coordinating photo
opportunities which highlight agency events or services.
10. Assists in the coordination of staff functions as related to agency relations.
11. Interacts with senior management staff on a routine basis to identify agency relations
needs.
12. Identifies opportunities to promote positive agency relations and provides appropriate
follow-up.
13. Assists in obtaining bids or price quotations pertaining to public relations materials.
14. Serves as Webmaster, keeping information current and relevant, and similarly maintains
social media sites.
15. Prepares required reports.
16. Adheres to and reflects organizational values in daily work
17. Serves on agency committees as may be assigned.
18. Maintains an obligation to report wrongdoing/violation of agency policies, applicable
federal, state and local laws, and rules and regulations, pertaining to agency operations,
to immediate supervisor or identified compliance officer.
19. Completes all mandatory inservice education programs and completes any other
additional inservice hours that are minimally required for the position.

appropriate by the Administrator/CEO.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in education, human services, journalism/ communications, creative writing, or similar field preferred; or
- Two years related work experience; at least one year in a health or human services work environment; or Associate's Degree and four years related work experience; at least one year in a health or human services work environment.
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with word processing, database/spreadsheet, and desktop publishing programs. Experience with Windows environment and Pagemaker desktop publishing system preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of public relations materials, preferably newsletter, brochure, and/or press releases.
- Effective communication skills.
- Acceptable driver's license and automobile available for use with current insurance.
- Availability by phone.
Salary : $23 - $30
