Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resource Specialist, Credentialing will play a pivotal role in managing the credentialing processes for staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting community health center partnerships. This role combines human resources operational support with specialized responsibilities in clinical staff credentialing and compliance monitoring. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. This position is responsible for completion and timely submission of requests, projects and routine reports, while ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
Credentialing & Compliance:
- Maintain and monitor the credentials, licenses, and certifications of clinical staff to ensure they are current and compliant with all regulatory and accreditation standards
- Provide support for C3 staff on credential renewal procedures, required documentation, and licensing requirements
- Review and verify credentials and licenses of new hires and existing staff to ensure all are current
- Develop and participate in the refinement of internal credentialing processes to improve efficiency and compliance
- Keep accurate records of licenses, credentials, and related documentation
- Coordinate credentialing requirements with appropriate vendor resources (e.g. immunizations, labs, etc.)
- Monitor upcoming renewal dates and collaborate with staff to facilitate timely renewals
- Release credentialing information as required by law, ensuring confidentiality and data security
- Stay informed about evolving regulations and standards related to clinical staff licensure and credentialing
Partnering with Federally Qualified Health Centers:
- Collaborate closely with partnering health centers and C3 staff to ensure credentialing and licensing compliance
- Act as a liaison between HR, C3 staff, and health center partners to streamline credentialing workflows
Human Resource Operations:
- Manage end-to-end onboarding processes for new hires, including coordinating orientation, completing personnel action forms, and updating Human Resource Information System (HRIS) data
- Assist onboarding team with collecting and processing new hire documents to ensure completeness and compliance
- Collaborate with members of the HR team to ensure excellent customer service to new hires and staff
- Attend and facilitate New Hire Orientations, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new employees
- Work closely with department leaders to ensure credentialing requests are addressed and processed in a timely manner
- Facilitate communication with employees and leaders regarding HR policies, benefits, and credentialing requirements
Required Skills:
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 3 years of experience in Human Resources
- Process oriented – ability to evaluate and improve HR administrative processes
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong ability to manage and facilitate change
- Generate creative and innovative solutions to problems
- Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with employees and managers at all levels
- Initiative to investigate and proceed with new ideas, projects, or process improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50-75% of the time
- Ability to travel required, approximately 30% of the time
- This is a hybrid position and may require you to work both remote and in-person as required by the department
Desired Other Skills:
- Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers
- Familiarity with MassHealth ACO Program
- Project-management skills preferred
- Experience with anti-racism activities, and/or lived experience with racism is highly preferred
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Post-graduate degree in health care or business administration, preferred
