Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of food service and infection control practices.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
  • Demonstrated patience and ability to relate positively with residents and team members.
  • Capability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in assisted living or healthcare food service settings.
  • Certification in food safety or dietary aide training.
  • Familiarity with specialized dietary needs and restrictions.
  • Strong communication skills to enhance teamwork and resident interaction.
  • Ability to adapt to changing dietary guidelines and facility policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to prescribed dietary plans and safety standards.
  • Follow all written and oral instructions related to food handling, portion control, and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment to comply with infection control protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the dietary team and other staff members to ensure timely and accurate meal delivery.
  • Provide courteous and positive interaction with residents, responding to their needs and preferences with patience and respect.

Salary : $25,000 - $40,000
