Our Acute Stabilization Unit (ASU) in Providence is looking for a 1st and 2nd shift Part-time (32 hours per week) Behavioral Health Worker (BHW). Our innovative, holistic, trauma-informed inpatient program for substance use and mental health disorders, located in the heart of Providence, is the first of its kind.
The BHW is a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented role. This is a front-line position with a high degree of client interaction, from admissions to safety checks to recreational and therapeutic activities.
An ideal candidate:
Is detail-oriented, self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
Maintains appropriate professional boundaries.
Possesses excellent communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with and receive supervision and training from nurses, counselors, case managers, and prescribers.
Ensures client safety and satisfaction. Flexible schedules available: can discuss upon interview.
Promotes client recovery, understands the impact of trauma, prioritizes client safety, and responds to client emergencies or crises with support.
Education/Licensing Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. CNA, associate degree in human services-related field, or attending school for same preferred; can substitute with 2 years
