REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate. Must possess valid driver's license and have a good driving record. Able to drive standard transmission
NATURE AND SCOPE: The CBB Blood Supply Courier/Delivery Driver reports to the lab technical director and must deal effectively with the administrative, technical and donor services departments within CBB, as well as, with hospital blood bank staff. The incumbent is responsible for routine and stat transport of blood products and assists with vehicle maintenance of the blood bank vehicle to the Susquehanna, PA area. This would be Monday, Wednesday, & Fridays weekly. Deliveries are to be carried out during all seasons with understanding winter driving is a requirement.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible for all courier operations within the CBB system.
a. Transports routine and stat shipments of blood products to and between CBB serviced hospitals. This may include pickups from the bus station or mobile blood drives.
b. Retrieves and returns empty blood shipment containers/transport media from hospitals and ACL.
2. Maintain CBB-owned courier vehicles as needed.
a. Tires
b. Oil Change
c. Car wash
3. Perform other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergency situations.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
