Job Description
We are seeking professional, customer-oriented candidates to join our operations department as a Teller. In this role, you will interface directly with the customer, assisting them with deposits, withdrawals, and other general inquiries. The Teller is responsible for providing friendly, efficient service, ensures that transactions flow smoothly, and serves as a first line of defense in detecting fraud and illegal activity.
Responsibilities
· Greet customers as they enter the lobby or drive through lanes
· Answer lobby phone and direct customer inquiries
· Receive checks and cash for deposits
· Cash checks, issue withdrawals, and transfer money between accounts
· Maintain and balance cash drawer
· Buy and sell currency from the main vault as required
· Generate cashier’s checks
· Maintain confidentiality in the handling of financial information
· Represent the bank in a courteous, professional manner
· Provide friendly, efficient service while ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures
Qualifications
· High school diploma
· Strong verbal communication skills
· Effective use of Microsoft Office suite
· Ability to collaborate and interface effectively with supervisors and peers
· Strong capabilities in customer service; comfortable engaging with and helping customers
· Previous banking experience preferred
