What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller position at Community Bancshares Inc.?
Provide the highest level of Service Excellence to businesses and individual customers, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Promote and cross-sell bank products and services, and make quality refers to other bankers as appropriate. Manage a cash drawer/recycler and perform other teller functions as assigned. Ensure all activities are performed according to bank policies and regulations.
▲ Operate cash drawer/recycler with high level or accuracy
▲ Process customer financial transactions including deposit and loan business
▲ Accepts checks for cashing or paying; verifies endorsement, validity, and funds
▲ Promote and cross-sell bank products and services, and make quality referrals to other bankers when appropriate
▲ Refers large or unusual transactions to a more experienced teller or banker
▲ Sells money orders, cashier’s checks, and processes cash advances
▲ Processes U.S. savings bonds for payment
▲ Answer phones, greet customers, and assist with directing lobby traffic as needed
▲ Perform ATM responsibilities as outlined by manager
▲ Ability to maintain established cash handling standards
▲ Consistently follows established bank policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines
▲ Demonstrates Service Excellence in all customer interactions
▲ Maintains work areas according to branch standards or other established security procedures
▲ All other duties as assigned
