Job Description:
Community Arts Resources (CARS) seeks an experienced Associate Producer to support the Director of Production and production team in the execution of all aspects of live event planning, production, and
outreach for arts and culture festivals and open streets events across Southern California.
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000, Full-Time Benefits including Health Insurance Benefits
Duties include the following:
- Support the Director of Production in the planning, production, and execution of events
- Support and track communications with artists and vendors
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of production documents (production schedules, contact sheets, etc)
- Communicate and advance with individual artists, bands, and community groups
- Support the Production Team by drafting and tracking artist contracts, letters of agreement, and contracted services agreements
- Participate in the proofreading and editing process for marketing and communication materials
- Research potential artists and community groups
- Contribute to the brainstorming process for artistic programming
- Be present at events (including weekends)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in production
- Strong interest in the production of community-based arts and culture events
- Personable and great with people
- Cultural competency with a diverse group of artists, staff, and community stakeholders
- Expertise with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficiency with Mac computers
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Works well under pressure and on tight deadlines
- Adept at managing multiple tasks in a calm and professional manner
- Ability to be actively engaged in an outdoor environment for the entire duration of an event including set-up and breakdown
