Duties
- Provide exceptional animal care by feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring pets’ health and behavior.
- Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during examinations and treatments.
- Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians with medication administration, sample collection, and basic procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, treatment areas, and equipment using aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Record detailed notes on animal physiology, behavior, medication schedules, and treatment responses.
Requirements
- Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures.
- Experience with pet care including dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and medication administration.
- Veterinary clinic experience or as a veterinary assistant is a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with veterinary staff and pet owners.
