The Domestic Violence Advocate provides trauma-informed, person-centered support to survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence residing in transitional housing. This position promotes safety, stabilization, and empowerment by offering case management, advocacy, crisis intervention, resource coordination, and life-skills guidance. - Maintain a manageable caseload of transitional housing residents.
- Develop individualized service plans with measurable goals.
- Assist residents with accessing benefits, childcare, mental health services, chemical dependency programs, medical care, and other supports.
- Facilitate referrals and collaborate with partnering agencies, shelters, and county providers.
- Document all services, resident progress, and incidents in accordance with organizational and funding requirements.
- Assist residents in securing long-term stable housing through applications, landlord communication, and housing search support.
- Educate residents on tenant rights, responsibilities, budgeting, and basic life skills.
- Conduct unit checks and ensure compliance with program guidelines and safety policies.
- Support residents transitioning out of the program toward self-sufficiency.
- Cleaning and Facility maintenance(house cleaning on all the shifts)
The position is very part-time and the hours are flexible.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
