Community Health Services is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and professional appearance of our offices and facilities. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
Hours for this position are:
Mondays 7:30am-7:30pm, Tuesdays through Thursdays 8:30am-5:30pm, Fridays 8:30am-1:30pm (hours may vary on occasion)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order of offices within facilities.
- Responsible for inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Responsible for submitting request(s) as needed to supervisor to order supplies.
- Organizes and monitors supply usage to ensure an adequate stock of supplies is kept on hand.
- Reports any issues with products immediately to supervisor.
- Maintains the interior of facility to ensure a clean, professional, and safe work environment for employees, patients and visitors. This includes but is not limited to vacuuming all carpeting/rugs mopping floors in exam rooms, restrooms and the lab (if applicable).
- Responsible for increasing the frequency of mopping and/or sweeping as needed to ensure floors remain clean, especially during the winter season to remove salt residue from floor.
- Addresses anyone seen smoking on CHS grounds. Will explain that smoking is not allowed on the grounds and shows them where containers are located for proper disposal.
- Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all areas using approved products.
- Responsible for checking and filling all soap, paper towel, and toilet paper dispensers.
- Responsible for cleaning all counter tops and glass in the building (i.e. doors, windows, etc.)
- Responsible to pick up and discard any trash, wrappers, etc., to ensure cleanliness of the facility and grounds.
- Travels to satellite offices to clean and/or deliver supplies as necessary.
- Completes inventory of supplies at satellite offices and reports back to supervisor.
- Responsible for cleaning all waiting room chairs (seasonally-increase in frequency as needed):
- Cloth – Vacuum
- Vinyl – Wipe clean with disinfectant
- Responsible for cleaning windowsills, dusting, and cleaning transoms as needed.
- Responsible for cleaning all areas of CHS as according to the CHS cleaning checklist.
- Adheres to the standards and policies of the Organizational Privacy/Security and Compliance Programs, including the duty to comply with applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, OIG guidelines, other State and Federal laws). This also includes reporting to the Board of Directors, Compliance Officer, Privacy Officer, and supervisor of any suspected unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful acts or practices.
- All other duties as assigned and/or required.
