Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role during training, with possible future full-time position for an Emergency Medical Dispatcher located in Henderson, NV. The Emergency Medical Dispatcher will be responsible for handling emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching medical personnel and vehicles, and providing pre-arrival instructions to callers. The role also involves coordinating communication between emergency services and other agencies, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring prompt and efficient response to emergencies.
Qualifications
- Emergency Medical Dispatch, Emergency Services, and Dispatching skills
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and other related technology
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (preferred)
- Previous experience in emergency services or dispatching is beneficial
