Production Associate - High End

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:                

The High-End Associate is responsible for identifying, researching, processing, and merchandising potential high-end product including, but not limited to jewelry, antiques, and/or collectables.  Our culture assumes we can count on one another, engage humbly with respect and professionalism, and continue our exceptional tradition of serving the public and our partners through teamwork and cooperation.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and Pricing – Accurately and efficiently sort, clean, review, and price all items as high-end and/or collectible (including, but not limited to jewelry, shoes, accessories, clothing, bric-brac, toys and electronics). Ensure that product provided to the retail area for sale meets the quality standards of the department. Understand the types of product, current promotions or trends, and pricing standards of the area to improve sales figures.
• Merchandising – Merchandise product in the High-End area, replenish the sales floor, and transport merchandise to where it is needed on the sales floor when needed. Work with their direct report on visual merchandising of items that are classified as higher dollar High-End. Work closely with the Retail Department to help keep to the merchandising standard for the department.
• Communications – Partner with the Warehouse and Production Associates to identify High-End or collectable goods. Work with High-End Leads on higher dollar items for possible higher dollar price point or items needing review, in-store auction, or transfer to another location. Participate in development meetings with fellow High-End Associates and Leads.
• Planning – Work with a degree of flexibility and responsiveness to meet department needs. Be able to work under time constraints to produce unit goals for production standards and sales. Keep up with weekly tag rotations, rag out times, and markdowns schedules.
• Retail & Customer Service – Provide assistance on the sales floor and High End area with customer questions, showcasing, and ringing up the customer if needed. Seize every opportunity to engage the customer in order to provide a great shopping experience and to deter theft.
• Compliance – Comply with CommunityAid’s Employee Handbook and any other established standards, policies, and directions from Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:                                                                        

• Can read, write, and speak English with proficiency
• Operate effectively in a professional work environment. Sensitive to handling items, being highly organized, and prioritize work within strict standards, time frames, and expectations
• Experience selling, collecting, and/or merchandising jewelry, antiques, collectibles, and/or high-end product preferred
• Adherence to consistent attendance and weekly hours expectations defined by employee’s DoL status (full-time/part-time/seasonal)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to frequently lift and carry 21 to 35 pounds
• Ability to occasionally carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to push and pull up to 20 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods

Salary : $16
