Domestic Violence (DV) Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator
Department: Milwaukee Women’s Center (MWC) – Victim Services
Reports To: Program Manager / Director of Victim Services
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary
The Domestic Violence (DV) Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator leads outreach and engagement efforts to increase awareness and access to victim services. This role focuses on community education, partnership development, and engagement of underserved populations to ensure survivors are connected to available resources and supports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outreach and engagement strategies.
- Conduct community presentations, trainings, and workshops.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders.
- Lead targeted outreach to underserved and marginalized populations.
- Coordinate outreach events, resource fairs, and engagement activities.
- Develop culturally responsive outreach materials.
- Collaborate internally to align messaging and services.
- Track outreach data and prepare reports.
- Identify service gaps and recommend outreach improvements.
- Represent the organization in community coalitions and forums.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Social Work, Public Health, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Strong public speaking and facilitation skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and data tracking skills.

Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly position (up to $25/hour, commensurate with experience).
- Eligible for full-time benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance.

Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, and present for extended periods.
- Frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment.
- Occasional lifting of materials (up to 20 pounds).
Work Environment
- Hybrid of office and community-based settings.
- Frequent local travel within Milwaukee County for outreach events.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours for community engagement activities.
