The Director of Marketing & Special Events will report to the Executive Director.
Job Overview
The Director of Marketing & Special Events is responsible for developing, planning, and executing all of CAST’s marketing communications and special events. This position ensures CAST’s brand and programs are effectively communicated while overseeing the entire lifecycle of special events—from concept to post-event analysis—to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and achieve organizational objectives. The Director combines creative marketing vision with hands-on logistical management, including budgeting, vendor negotiations, and team leadership. Strong communication, financial expertise, and problem-solving abilities are essential for managing complex logistics, supporting staff, and delivering seamless experiences for attendees. The Director collaborates closely with the Executive Director, Director of Development, and department heads, and is supported by the Marketing & Development Associate.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Drive and expand fundraising efforts including CAST’s three annual fundraisers, fundraising partnerships, annual appeals, and donor stewardship.
- Plan, manage and attend all major fundraising events and ensure the Special Events team organizes and represents CAST at smaller fundraising and marketing-related events.
- Lead CAST’s marketing efforts including website, email, social media, advertising collateral, GiveSmart fundraising platform, and brand and content management.
- Partner with freelance Graphic Designer and CAST team to develop marketing campaign creative and assets.
- Manage Marketing and Special Events team including training, strategy setting, monitoring progress toward goals and professional Special Events.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, department heads and the Board to advance CAST’s mission.
- Establish and meet marketing deadlines while working on projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years of experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
