Position Summary
Under the direction of the Housing Director and supervision of the Lead Rental Manager, the Rental Intake and Processing Assistant supports low-income households in Utah County in need of rental assistance by helping them access rental, deposit, and utility support. This position handles both intake and processing tasks---from welcoming clients and reviewing applications to coordinating payments---and requires a full understanding of all CASFB rental assistance programs.

**Administrative Responsibilities**
- Have a full understanding of all CASFB's rental assistance programs, eligibility criteria, and funding sources
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients in need of rental assistance
- Conduct intake interviews in person or over the phone; assist clients in completing applications
- Collect and verify required documentation (ID, lease, eviction notices, income verification, etc.)
- Review application files for accuracy and completeness; determine appropriate program fit
- Coordinate property inspections and follow up on any needed landlord repairs
- Prepare approval or denial letters; generate payment vouchers and coordinate check distribution
- Maintain accurate records in HMIS, CAP 60, and other required systems
- Collaborate with case managers to support client action plans and long-term housing stability
- Communicate with landlords, attorneys, and service providers on behalf of clients
- Maintain organized digital and physical files to ensure program compliance
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and outreach efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned by the program manager or directors
- Strong communication, organizational, and data entry skills
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
- Rental assistance or loan processing experience helpful
- Ability to handle sensitive or high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion
- Knowledge of community resources and housing-related services preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for occasional outreach or special projects
