A Day in the Life as an Administrative / Food Pantry Assistant:
As An Administrative / Food Pantry Assistant, You Will Greet And Screen All Visitors, Answer And Direct Telephone Calls, And Help Eligible Clients With Their Food Pantry Visit. Your Day Will Involve
- Answering telephone inquiries, determining needs, and making appropriate referrals to Agency programs.
- Greeting and referring visitors or callers to appropriate staff and/or Agency programs.
- Assisting eligible clients with their food pantry visit.
- Unloading USDA food shipments as needed, stocking and organizing the food pantry.
- Filing and completing general office duties as well other tasks assigned by the Area Center Site Coordinator.
Requirements
Qualifications to Be an Administrative Assistant in the Area Resource Center:
Experience
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- One year of prior office or customer service experience.
- Customer service skills and the ability to work with the public.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel.
