Job Summary: Work with adult education students to help them meet their educational, career, and post-secondary education goals.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Meet individually with students to assist them in developing career and educational plans. Provide support for students in an in-person and/or remote capacity, as needed.
- Set up High School Equivalency (HiSET) accounts and schedule tests with students.
- Provide students with general information around steps to prepare for postsecondary and/or job training options and how to find programs that reflect their interests and career goals.
- Provide college and career readiness workshops for students.
- Complete quarterly outcomes and enter the results in LACES.
- Collect student information for entry into CMS.
- Refer students to resources that may be helpful to them. These include referrals within Action Inc. (ie- to Community Services, Fuel Assistance, etc.) as well as to outside agencies (ie- Open Door, MassAbility, etc.).
- Attend and participate in departmental, organization-wide and other meetings. Attend a minimum of 12 hours professional development provided by SABES or other approved organization.
- Act in the best interest of the organization, reflecting the values of teamwork, collaboration and mutual respect.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Second language a plus
- Ability to relate and to work with students with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of equivalent experience
- Experience with college and career advising
- Must be able to lift, move and carry 10 lbs.
