Maintenance Technician- Central Office Kirksville
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing general facility maintenance and repair across all center locations, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general upkeep. This role also supports grounds maintenance such as yard work, snow removal, and cleaning, and may assist with agency vehicle repairs. The position requires a positive, team-oriented attitude, the ability to exercise sound judgment, and a willingness to take on additional duties as needed. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and compliance with Missouri insurance requirements are required.
Education: Associate degree (AA or AAS) in a related field plus three years of related experience, preferred.
5 years of technical experience with most types of repairs, including carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, and/or electrical repair. OR any combination of education (certifications, etc.) and technical experience to equal 5 years of experience, required.
Candidates must be able to pass a Child and Elder Care Worker background check. Candidates must participate in all required training. As a mandated reporter, must report any suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to the Missouri Child Abuse & Neglect hotline, following Missouri Law and current Agency procedures.
