Program Specialist - 2-1-1

SUMMARY: The 2-1-1 Program Specialist develops and maintains relationships with agencies and community groups that provide health and disaster resources in Kern County. Collects information about services, assists in the maintenance of the 2-1-1 Kern database. Offers a unique opportunity for the community to gain comprehensive knowledge of health and human service programs throughout the county of Kern. This position is expected to be knowledgeable and skilled in seeking outreach and presentation opportunities and ensure customer service is provided when making contact with the callers, the community, and partners.

2-1-1 Kern operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The work schedule may include evening and weekend shifts. Required to be available during declared emergencies to perform duties as directed by the 2-1-1 Program Manager.
