Job Position Description:

Are you passionate about the future of early childhood education? As a CCR&R Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for early educators across Washington County. You'll play a critical role in recruiting and retaining providers, managing professional development calendars, and ensuring that families have access to high-quality, licensed child care. Whether you are helping a new provider get licensed or coordinating a large-scale training event, your work directly supports the educators who care for our youngest community members.

Abbreviated Duties List (Specialist I):

• Act as the primary contact for educators, assisting with database enrollment (Find Child Care Oregon) and professional development registration.
• Monitor and update partner databases to ensure all provider qualifications and rate data (Market Price Survey) are current and accurate.
• Manage bilingual email communications via Constant Contact, update social media, and create promotional flyers/brochures.
• Support all aspects of training delivery, including registration, technical assistance for online/in-person sessions, and issuing certifications.
• Handle fiscal tasks like invoicing and purchase orders via DocuSign, and maintain an organized inventory of program supplies.

Advanced Responsibilities (Specialist II):

• Curriculum & Training: Co-train and independently deliver high-quality Set 1 trainings aligned with the Oregon Registry.
• Marketing Development: Lead the creation of quarterly newsletters and marketing materials in both English and Spanish.
• Mentorship: Work toward becoming an OCCD Master Trainer while mentoring other educators in the field.

Abbreviated Requirements:

Specialist I:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A Step 3 on the Oregon Registry, or at least 1 year of experience in a licensed child care program.
• Bilingual Requirement: Professional-level fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office Suite) and the ability to manipulate data and design reports within complex databases.
• Requires a valid Oregon driver's license, proof of auto insurance for a private vehicle, and access to reliable transportation.

Specialist II (In addition to Level I):

• At least 3 years of experience in the field of childhood care and education.
• Must have achieved a Step 7.5 or higher on the Oregon Registry.
• Certification: Must be an OCCD-approved Community Trainer.
