Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster early childhood development, including literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social skills.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and learning through play.
• Provide attentive toddler care by supporting their physical needs, including feeding, diapering, and hygiene routines.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with families to support their child's growth through regular communication, progress updates, and family engagement activities.
• Conduct assessments of children's developmental milestones using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform lesson planning.
• Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists.
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, lesson plans, child observations, and incident reports to ensure compliance with program standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum development, Montessori methods, or other early childhood education strategies.
• Assist in classroom management by organizing materials, setting up learning centers, and ensuring a safe environment at all times.
• Engage children in diverse activities such as tutoring in literacy or math skills, teaching physical education exercises, or facilitating creative arts projects.
• Promote child welfare by fostering inclusive practices that respect each child's unique background and abilities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience with curriculum development tailored for infants and toddlers.
• Familiarity with special education strategies and early intervention programs is a plus.
• Strong classroom management skills combined with effective communication abilities to collaborate with families and team members.
• Experience with lesson planning across various domains including literacy education, math instruction, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
• Understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for young children to promote positive interactions.
• Ability to adapt activities for children with diverse needs including those requiring additional support or special accommodations.
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational skills for maintaining detailed records and documentation in compliance with program standards.

Pay: $14.27 - $15.45 per hour
