What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher I - Substitute, Head Start position at Community Action Commission of Santa Barbara County?
Substitute Teachers needed for the Lompoc & Buellton area.
Teachers work in partnership with the team teacher to develop weekly lesson plans for preschool children, develops and maintains safe and positive classroom climate, and intentional learning environment; screens and assesses each child using appropriate screening/assessment tools; individualizes educational plans for each child based on ongoing developmental assessments. Engages parents of various cultural backgrounds in their Child's education. Hourly rates are between $19.00 - $20.50 depending on how many ECE units you have completed. Position earns sick leave accrual.
REQUIREMENTS
Teacher I: 12 units in ECE/CD in core course or hold Associate Teacher permit or Child Development Associate permit. Obtain and maintain a current Child Development Permit for position held.
Teachers must obtain and maintain a Pediatric First Aid and CPR card. Experience working with children with disabilities desirable; Bilingual preferred. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40lbs.
